I agree that I need to continue doing what I have been doing recently and the profits will continue to flow. I’ve actually been steadily decreasing my Betfair bank recently as I was worried my bank was growing too fast in comparison to my relative experience on Betfair. I’ve no intention to increase stakes until I can consistently earn decent profits from my current staking level.

Thanks for the comment.

Stan, thanks again for the comment. I’ve posted up an example of how I traded that race yesterday. Be keen to hear any thoughts you have or tips about what I can do differently. Cheers.

Hi Steve. Thanks for the comment. Much appreciated. I think I did lose perspective in the middle of June as the profits were coming too easily to me and I soon became disappointed when I wasn’t winning £50+ every night. The large loss I had maybe happened at the perfect time for me in the sense it gave me a reality check.

I think I have picked up the trading quite quickly to be honest and I’m surprised myself about how well I’m doing. It’s still very early days and I only want to be judged at the end of the 12 months on how well I’ve done but so far, so good!

GraemeGraeme Dandhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06508032031340730990noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804774922458007587.post-1023602861950962642008-06-29T19:51:00.000+01:002008-06-29T19:51:00.000+01:00Graeme,Just wanted to day well done on the past mo...Graeme,

Just wanted to day well done on the past month. I read your comment on Mark's blog regarding managing your expectations. I think you need to realise how well you are doing. I haven't heard of many traders who have your ability after 4 months of trading.

To put your results in perspective, I've been trading on Betfair for 4 years now and I started trading seriously part-time 18 months ago.

I consistently make between £300 - £400 scalping the pre-race markets but it's hard work at times.

Not sure how you've managed it but you appear to have picked up the trading game very quickly and as long as you keep on doing what you are doing, as your experience grows, there is no reason to think that you can't be making £1000-£1500 a month in the near future.

Keep up the good work.

Steve

P.S. Like Stan, I'd like to hear how you traded that race yesterday. I traded the race and made £24 profit from a total stake of £800! (4 trades at £200 each, 2 scratched!)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804774922458007587.post-7107031301337610752008-06-29T15:47:00.000+01:002008-06-29T15:47:00.000+01:00Graeme,Well done on meetng your target. Youd said...Graeme,

Well done on meetng your target. Youd said previously you would talk through an example of how you trade a race.

Can you discuss that race yesterday as a £49 profit from pre-race trading with a stake of that size is an amazing trade.

How did you know the horse would shorten, what made you choose that horse, what stake size were you using etc.

StanAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804774922458007587.post-76828962340613433292008-06-29T10:02:00.000+01:002008-06-29T10:02:00.000+01:00well done Graeme! and a great blog too... i've add...well done Graeme! and a great blog too... i've added a link to you.

Just looking through your results and it looks good for you, just keep doing what you are doing, don't be tempted to up your level until you are well beyond where you think you should up your level... the game changes in ways you won't expect - each time you raise stakes or look for more.

Matt @ Punt.comUnknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/14058376197000145204noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6804774922458007587.post-2366831394261830622008-06-28T19:12:00.000+01:002008-06-28T19:12:00.000+01:00well done that man!well done that man!Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
