Daily Profit £45.57
I feel a bit of sadness with tonight's post as today was my last day off work. From tomorrow, I'm back in the office from 9am to 5pm, so my Betfair betting opportunities will be limited to evening racing in the summer and at weekends.
Today was an OK day for me but again, due to my self-enforced discipline, I only got involved in 4 races today.
At the off in each, I was riskfree on 2 horses in each race and even though no horse won, I managed to still generate a profit of £45 from leaving in-running lays, so it was a nice day.
Something happened to me in a race at Pontefract which cost me a profit of £100+ on the race but I don't want to dwell on it too much as I managed to put it out my mind quite quickly thanks to something Andrew said to me. Basically, Betfair froze my laptop and I couldn't get logged back in quickly enough to place my lays before the off. I was riskfree on a horse for £200 and it traded in running at 1.2 before getting beat.
I was trying to place a lay of 1.6 for £100 when my laptop froze, so I missed out on this £100 plus anymore I could have earned from leaving lower in-running lays.
As Andrew said though, it shows how far I have come in the space of 2 months that my errors now are about me missing out on large profits and not creating large losses!
I'll continue to try to keep my blog updated as regularly as possible going forward but it may be less frequent than it has been in the last few months.
Incidentally, our new horse-racing discussion site is starting to take off and you're all welcome to join the site. All you have to do is join with a username and password and we'll grant you access. The site is www.handicaps.caramboo.com

Afternoons just aren't going to be the same...
Who am I going to offer my pearls of wisdom to and amuse with my witticisms...?!
Hope it goes well mate - my house renovation will certainly progress a lot faster without you distracting me !!!
Andrew.
Just a point here. You don't need www to get to the site. http://handicaps.caramboo.com is just fine and dandy. Putting www in front of a website is like telling a web browser how to do it's job :)
'pearls of wisdom' mate? I must have missed them over the past few months!
Dave, as I've said, I'm not too techy! It's easier for me to remember www instead of http://!!!! I take your point though!
