Reason for improvement in recent results....

I got involved in one race today and managed to generate a riskfree bet on Betfair on my mobile whilst at work. Unfortunately, one of my other shortlisted horses won at 9/1, so it was a break-even day for me!

I'm conscious of the fact that regular readers of my blog have witnessed a dramatic improvement in my results over the last month. This can be primarily attributable to two main reasons. The first reason is my new strategy.

My strategy now involves trading pre-race to generate a riskfree bet on the horse or horses I think are most likely to win. I then leave in low lays to lay off if the horses run well and if they win, I will win from the riskfree bet. If I haven't been able to generate a rsikfree bet before the off, I will let the bet go in-running and leave in my usual lays.

So far, I have not had a losing day since I changed strategy at the start of last month. My last losing day was 5th April.

Amazingly, I have only had 4 losing races in 91 races since I changed strategy. This is an amazing run and is due to the type of horse that I am now trading. I only trade horses which I think are likely to win, so this results in most of my horses getting backed pre-race, so trading them is very easy. However, even when I don't get a riskfree bet pre-race, I let my bet go in-running and lay off then.

Out of my 4 losses, 3 of them were due to very bad pre-race trading and one was due to letting my bet go in-play and not taking a small riskfree bet.

The second reason for the upturn in results is definitely due to the fact I have started working with 2 other people to find the best horses to trade and back. Knocker and Andrew are both very knowledgeable on the horse-racing and between the three of us, we appear to compliment each other very well.

I tend to concentrate on official ratings and finding well handicapped horses, Knocker also does this but looks at pace angles and draw aspects in particular. Andrew uses his vast experience to give a wider overview of the race and so far, it's been working great.

Graeme,

That list of results there is pretty good.

Difficult to realy gauge how good though as you seem to select multiple horses in many races but it maeks good reading.

It would be good if you could continue to keep posting the results on here.

Well done and good luck for the future.
